BOSSPRESS

Thanks for purchasing this theme, called BOSSPRESS. This is a Wordpress theme especially designed for personal portfolios and corporates. Please feel free to contact via themeforest if you have any question or problem about this theme. Just be sure about you read all the document before you ask. Its easy to setup, follow the steps below. Have a good works, thanks one more time!

First you need to upload the BOSSPRESS folder into the themes folder. Be sure about that, you are just uploading the theme folder, not the full pack which including the other files. Upload your theme into wp-content/themes folder, under your root, by using any FTP client. I prefer to use FileZilla.

After you uploaded the theme, go to the Wordpress Admin Panel (wp-admin). Click on Themes menu under the Appearance tab. If you uploaded the theme correctly you should see BOSSPRESS under the Available Themes. Click to Activate link to activate the theme. That's all, the theme is activated.

After you activated the theme, you will see the BOSSPRESS menu under the Appearance tab. Click on it to see the BOSSPRESS theme settings. You will see Theme Color Settings, ID Settings, Homepage Slider Settings under this menu.

Theme Color Settings
Select your theme color here. You are able to select Black and White versions.

ID Settings
At this part, you should enter your Portfolio / Gallery category's ID here. After you create this category don't forget to enter the ID here to enable the template.

Homepage Slider Settings
This is the part which you can set the homepage slider settings. First select your Slider Animation Type. You can choice Fade or Slide. After that, enter the Slider Speed (1000 means 1 second, 2000 means 2 seconds), this is the value for setting the sliding speed. Set the Slider Timeout (4000 means 4 seconds) to set timeout speed around every item. Later, select the Slider Type, you can choice Sequence or Random types.

After you entered all, click to SAVE SETTINGS button to save the settings.

You need to create some Categories and Pages to make your navigation look like the preview. If you don't need to use page or category just don't create, it's your choice.

To crate any category, click on Categories menu under the Posts tab. Enter your Category Name and click to the Add Category button. To create any subcategory, do the same but this time select the Category Parent. Now this category will be shown under your main category at the navigation menu.

Now you need to create the pages. Click on Add New menu under the Pages tab. Fill the inputs then click on Publish button. If you want yo create any subpage, just do the same and select your Parent page.

NOTICE : Please don't forget to enter your Portfolio / Gallery category's ID to ID Settings part, under the theme options after you created the releated category.

BOSSPRESS is widget ready and there is 4 sidebars whichs you can add your widgets. 3 of them is for homepage, 1 of is for detail pages. Click on Widgets menu under Appearance tab.

sidebar_home_1 is the widget area, which be shown at the left of the homepage. Unless you drag any widget here, your Latest Blogs shall appear.

sidebar_home_2 is the widget area, which be shown at the center of the homepage. Using a Text widget to show your welcome message is prefered.

sidebar_home_3 is the widget area, which be shown at the right of the homepage. Use Text widget to put any html content in it.

sidebar_main is the widget area, which be shown at the right of the all pages except homepage. Add your custom widgets here.

If you would like to show your post in homepage slider (showcase), you need to add 2 custom fields while you publishing it. First is showcase_image, which you set the image to show, and the second one is showcase_color to set the background color of the showcase for this item.

First upload your picture by using Upload / Insert option of wordpress, or via FTP Client, then get the full path of the image. Use this image path as a value of showcase_image named custom field, and click on Add Custom Field button. Later, add showcase_color named custom field with the color code value. Enter the color code value without using # sign like CC0000

While publishing your Portfolio / Gallery posts, select the Portfolio / Gallery category and the subcategory.

Create your 290 x 190 px preview image and upload it by using Upload / Insert option of wordpress, or via FTP Client. Enter the full path of the preview image as a value of portfolio_image named custom field. Your will be shown in Portfolio / Gallery category with the preview image you uploaded.

There is a cool lightbox script included to BOSSPRESS theme. You can show your images, flash objects, youtube videos in a lightbox frame. Just add a prettyPhoto as a rel tag to your links. Click here to see the details about prettyPhoto script.

Header Logo
Your header logo is located as images/001/logo.png in BOSSPRESS theme folder, and it's 215 x 15 px. If you would like to change the size, it's set in css/001.css file, line 125.
Create your own *.png logo then change the width and height as you need.

Footer Logo
Footer logo is located as images/001/logo-footer.gif in BOSSPRESS theme folder (images/001 for white theme, images/002 for the black theme), and it's 175 x 15 px. Create your own 175px width logo and replace it with it.

1. In the detail of the posts, use maximum 610px width images.
2. Homepage slider (showcase) images should be smaller than 3000px. And please be sure about that, you saved your images by using Save for Web option, for lower file size.
